Dense hardwood needs compatible products and careful application. The exact preparation depends on the existing coating, surface and repair needs.
Review the finish, drainage, boards, fasteners, stairs and rails. Discuss the look you want and separate repairs from cosmetic work in the written estimate.
Address agreed repairs. Remove incompatible coatings or sand where needed. Clean and, where appropriate, brighten with a compatible system, then rinse and allow the wood to dry.
Apply the selected hardwood finish to a prepared, dry surface in suitable weather. Remove excess as directed and explain drying time, access and future care.
Sun, shade, pool-side moisture and foot traffic wear a finish differently. We can help you keep the deck clean and review when it is ready for maintenance oiling.
If you want to retain a brown finish, review its condition at least annually. Recoating follows the finish instructions and the condition of the deck, rather than a fixed promise that it will last a set number of years.
